B 208 Question

Just wondering what the difference is between a B208 and a B208 super. I am probably getting a B208 super but I don't even know what the difference is and how it would affect the price I should offer the guy. This is a neighbor so he just said to make him an offer. It's been re-powered but he did buy it brand new and has all the paperwork. Its a nice machine and has been taken care of well. He rebuilt the transmission after it got stuck between gears but it is fine now. I have a price in mind but I'm not sure if it being a Super would increase the value.

Josh should be along to help you out with the differences and values. I think he owns one of these if I am NOT mistaken.?

There is little difference between the two machines. B-207, B-208, B-208 Super all have a fairly similar market value. They all had the same 36" decks. The differences were mostly cosmetic with slightly different size tires, different seats, a few rare B-207 models were manual start. The thing that will have greater affect on value would be how nice of original cosmetic condition it is in. Value on these machines seems to be in the $100+ for non runners. I would say up to $500+for near mint condition.

Josh does own one, a super slick B208 super. I have 4 B-207's currently and have sold several.
