Just removed the tired original engine from the Simplicity 9020. Not pretty! Starter's fallling off, low oil pressure, wiring harness cobbled, old engine, and now what? Help me with your counsel to rebuild or replace or? Thank you in advance. Ps. this is my first rebuild! Jim

Jim, Welcome to the club. The only thing I know about the Powr'max tractors is what I've read on this board. The purists may love the Onan, but there is an alternative. Hi Jim, we are a dealer for simplicity, and well, it is your choice. If you rebuild the onan, it will last you a long time. A new engine kit would provide you with electronic ignition and an oil filter. The onans are expensive to rebuild because they are the only military certified engine. Between our two onan powered units, we have rebuilt them 3 times in the last 30 years. Change the oil! is the name of the game. Take care. Neal

The CCKA/B's have oil filters, and apparently you can get an electronic ignition for them - although, I don't think it's a necessity. "Military Certfied" - huh, no wonder I like them so much - working under the battle conditions of my property. ;o) Jeff
