RichardJay 25 Posted May 10, 2018 I’m replacing the head gasket on a 23d. I’ve found the torque specs for the bolts, but cannot seem to find the sequence. Can someone point me in the right direction? thanks!

gwiseman 1,443 Posted May 11, 2018 Richard, You're probably already aware but a hot engine re-torque is good idea as well on 23d. @MDB can chime in when he gets out of the fields.

If you can't find anything, a sequence something like 7, 8, 6, 4, 5, 1, 3, 9, 2 would probably get you to the same place. I also like to start at about 1/3 of the total torque first, then 2/3 and then use the final torque. Ken
