Talntedmrgreen 1,918 Posted May 15, 2018 I can't say I have heard of such a thing. I wonder if it's fully engaging? It should have a pretty positive 'click' once it sits into one of the two gear sets.
Mine19821 158 Posted May 15, 2018 it does not do that. its always been difficult to shift into either range. just recently starting popping out of gear. very strange setup to me.
dhoadley 1,629 Posted May 16, 2018 I had my hi-lo unit come missing a "stop" piece. https://simpletractors.com/forums/topic/53418-broadmoor-717-hi-lo-question/ Ended up making one. Just a thought. Good luck.
BLT 708 Posted May 16, 2018 I forget how it is fastened on, but the whole unit might be sliding a tad .
Mine19821 158 Posted May 16, 2018 i had that thought to but didnt seem like it was. i must have something together wrong. i put it on last year when i got it. took the best parts of 2 and made myself one nice one and made one to sell. wish id have kept the stock pulley. steve-wis 611 Posted May 16, 2018 Check the set screws that lock it to the shaft, they like to loosen up and then the unit slides and doesn't shift completely.
