Wcummings
So I ended up buying a pretty good shape running simplicity sovereign 3416h with working 48" deck, snowblower and a tiller all work. My current problem is that I can't seem to get a nuetral gear and my Vickers gear box is pissing fluid out of the rear output shaft. Not sure on the year
gwiseman
William, you can search from the home page in the upper right and find so much info about these old tractors. I did a quick one for Vickers adjustment and found @RayS 2007 thread: https://simpletractors.com/forums/topic/42746-vickers-hydrostatic-neutral-adjustment/?tab=comments#comment-42749 Hope this helps. Simplicity7013H
About the fluid leaking out the back... That would be the pintle shaft leaking. Some of the later models came out of the factory with a bushing but being that your machine is a 3416, I would guess that it wasn't. You can go 2 ways on this one, you can try to do a quick fix on it or tear down the transmission and rebuilt it and put a seal on that shaft. Now, here's a quick fix you might try. Get a 5/8" set collar and a viton o-ring, put the o-ring on the pintle shaft and compress it down with the set collar. I tried this on my 3112H and it did the job.
