Brent_Baumer Posted April 16, 2002 Share Posted April 16, 2002 Wouldn't make sense for a GE electric tractor to use battery power to turn an electric motor and a S-G to produce electricity to charge the batteries to turn an electric motor and a S-G to produce electricity..... and so-on. That would be kinda like a solar powered flashlight. Unless you eliminated all ineffeciency, thereby creating a perpetual motion machine, your batteries wouldn't last very long.
