Trip to Evansville 2018

Last weekend I made my first trip to display at a  "long distance" show (3+ hours away). The Lawn and Garden Extravaganza at Evansville, IN. I took four tractors, a recent acquisition of an orange B-112, HB-212, 917H w/vertical to horizontal conversion by Darrin Butcher (Country), and my 75th Anniversary Sovereign.  It took me about a day to get them all loaded. I had to replace the gas tank in the B-112 and do a little other work to it.

Also in attendance was Mark McCaron (MarksAC) and few other folks I knew. Arriving around noon on Friday I setup with Mark and James Gebke. We mixed our tractors together for an AC-Simplicity lineup.

Mark Had Kent's HB-216 on display:

James had his pair of 920 Diesel's in attendance. The Deutz once belonged to PeppyDan and I believe later Jason Holz.

Had a blast cruising the grounds with the guys. When a tractor ran out of gas we had to use the people hauler.

We had a rain storm come through Saturday afternoon and it scared away a lot of exhibitors. Us die-hards stuck it out through Sunday AM. It was definitely worth the trip. I attended last year with Gene Wiseman but we did not bring tractors.  The pics focus on highlights of the lawn and garden equipment but there is also an entire building of Model A cars, a large hit and miss area, two steam engines, and a display of farm tractors as well as a farm toy show on the grounds and numerous swap meet vendors. Someone said there were around 500 garden tractors in attendance.

Nice Pics.  I’m going to have to go next year. This show is only about 30 minutes away. I had no idea it was so big and with such a far reach.

That would be great! Would love to have more club members in attendance.

Excellent pictures!  These shows are a lot of fun.  There is a engine and tractor show in Orange Massachusetts this weekend. i believe it is the 44th annual show, called the " Yankee Enginuity" show.  I will take some pictures there as well, and post them later.
