PhanDad 3,245 Posted July 7, 2018 Always wanted a Simplicity Cart that was in good shape. @fishnwiz had a good one for sale a few weeks ago but it was a bit far away. Last weekend I spotted a Craigslist ad for an NOS cart in a box in North Jersey. My BIL was nice enough to pick it up for me and, unexpectedly deliver it to me on the 4th when he came for a visit. He has an older classic Cadillac and disassembled cart easily fit in the trunk. Some pics: The wheels/tires are pretty much mint: Only thing is the tailgate doesn't have a "Simplicity" decal; I thought they all did: He had 2; there might be one left: https://simpletractors.com/forums/topic/61008-simplicity-nos-in-box-cart-1600236/
fishnwiz 3,288 Posted July 7, 2018 (edited) AWESOME More than a fair price IMO. I have owned both with and without Simplicity decal on gate but all have had Simplicity part # on front of cart. I would have bought them all and took them to Portage Edited July 7, 2018 by fishnwiz

Chris727 1,703 Posted July 7, 2018 Awesome! The later ones didn't have the decal on the tailgate.
Brettw 1,015 Posted July 7, 2018 Worth every nickel. A cheapie cart goes for about a hundred bux now a days, and this one will outlast them by decades. Great find Bill!
TimJr 206 Posted July 7, 2018 I bought 2 NOS 1691986 carts back in 2005. They are black carts, but still the same style of cart. One was for a friend, mine is still in the box. Likely won't ever open it up. I also have an NOS cart body and tailgate that I have found over the years.
fishnwiz 3,288 Posted July 7, 2018 Wow......MORE NOS cart stories. Pretty neat. I myself have found 1 cart that was as close as one could get without still being in the box and that cart was grey. Thanks for sharing your stories.
