In the past I have had trouble with my 4wd Prestige and 50 inch deck.

under certain conditions the electric clutch would rub on front deck mount

I had deep gouges on mount.  Just on "drivers side"

i bought the guage wheel kit

it did not help

i desired a 54 inch deck

this spring I bought an used deck from Dan Poeppelman

it to had same rub marks

I had seen a Prestige 4 wd update kit on Ebay

I bought it

had improved deck mount that did not have spring loaded attachment pin

this does not allow deck to shift side to side

also included rear axle supports, better shift linkeage

new hoses for power steering

a new mount for  both ends of power steering cylinder

this was to be a dealer installed kit

bottom line

I mowed today with 54 inch deck

extremely pleased

hard to believe how much time it took off compared to 50 inch

Great to hear your troubles were solved!  When I first tried a 54 (on a Prestige), I was blown away by how nice it did.  I now run a 54 on a Legacy XL and enjoy that same cut quality.  However, with the move, I am probably going to swap to a 60", as my mowing is going to increase from less than half an acre of lawn to 2.5 acres.  I actually have a 72" XL deck here, but it is a roller-less design, and I could never put a turbo on it so it is headed down the road.
