Hourmeter test

Is there a good way to test an hourmeter that is not connected to a tractor? Is it as simple as connecting power and watching the display?

If its a simple hourmeter, just connecting whatever power it is designed for should work. If it needs to sense engine rotation, such as a TinyTach, then you will need a different test setup to trigger the timer mechanism. Could you tell us what brand and model you have? Dave

Sure -- this hourmeter is off of an AC720 (same as Pow'rMax). I am not sure of the model/maker of the hourmeter. MDD
