After 6 years at our place, the wife and I decided we needed a long term spot for the kids. Mostly, a school district change and increased space for the boys to roam.
The old house had a 24x32 second garage which you all have seen me stack/stuff my collection into. It worked but was snug. When it was time to wrench, I would have to move machines to the main garage and kick the cars outside.  The new place has slightly more room and I have been purging  a lot of items to free up space. A separate workshop off the upper level garage will house anything non-tractor related, larger tools, etc that I had to store in the tractor shed before.
I will keep about 200 sq ft open for a workspace in what my wife calls the “Tractor Bunker”.  It is a lower-level, second garage, below a 3-stall upper level garage.
I haven't had a lot of time downstairs, since we moved in, in August, but it's getting there.  With ducting built in for piping in heat or AC, I am glad to have a comfortable workspace and the option to have a clean, dry storage/display area.
Pictures show empty through current.  It has access from outdoors, the basement rec room and via stairway from the upper level garage.  It has water, drain, 220, gas for aux heat, and of course, the vents to open up to the house climate control.

Beautiful home and lot. Looks to be a great place for the boys to be boys! Possibilities in the tractor bunker are endless (until you start filling up the empty space) Josh. I like the pallet rack use for the small frames. You've got the makings of a museum there; hope to stop in sometime to see it. I am trying to figure out how to get implements loaded onto mine; don't own a FEL or forklift :).   Very nice!!!

With all that room in the back yard we can just move the Gathering of the Orange to your place.:D

I'm game!  I would love to have an open house/cookout type of event at some point.

What’s the front wheel and tire combo you have on your Wards Twin 20/ Powermax?

That is the OEM agricultural tire package size for the front.  I struggled to put original pieces together, so what I have on their now actually came as ebay finds.  The tires are 4-12 Firestones, and were NOS!  The rims came from an IH Cub, and are 3x12.

Both sizes are pretty readily available, new, I just held out for originals from the era.  Figured the machine deserved it  =]

Still filling up wall space and I let a couple more things go but you can’t tell from the photos of the overflow room. I’ve got some ideas on how to fill in the rest!

Stole some time to hang a few shelves for some of the smaller items.  And now I need to find a home for the newest dealer sign.

Is the "Do It Yourself Center" sign lonely, or is the shelf part hiding somewhere?

Sadly, no shelving sm02

Definition of organized:  Josh's tractor bunker!

It is much easier to do, when you have an idea what you’ve got!  Last place, the “collection” grew around me and things were stuffed wherever they fit.

My attic here is a little that way currently...belts, tires, snowcabs, boxes of parts... 😬

Psst: it'll get worse then get better Josh. sm03

I'm thinking a tour may be in order. The Tractor Bunker looks to be as good as any tractor museum.

I finally got the rec room cleared and the pool table cleaned off.  Hauled my last load off to the dump Saturday to clean the place up.  I would love some company when the weather warms a bit...of course, it was nicer than some of our Spring Gatherings this past weekend and its warming to 50 here tomorrow.  So maybe sooner!

Josh

That's a far cry from all the " Snow" pics we have seen from you the past several years.

Good thing there is NO global warming.

shy of 1” in December and the conversation changed!
