Left Axle hub repair?

While working with my T-12 (A/C built) today I lost all drive power. The left axle tube is turning, but not the wheel. I had the infamouse wheel wobble so I think the keyway on the hub is shoot. Can I remove a setscrew & drill through the axle and insert a roll pin? How hard is it to replace the old style (mines welded) two piece axle with the new one piece style? Thanks for any help

If the axle isn't too difficult to remove, have a machine shop cut a new keyway on the opposite side of the axle from the wallered out keyway. I'm not sure how a roll pin would hold up to this kind of use.[A href='http://www.wheatfarm.com']http://www.wheatfarm.com[/a]
