Simplicity Landlord 18HP DLX - Looking for Info on deck options

Recommended Posts

So I purchased my second tractor today. My first and current is a JD 214 - I didn't know much about tractors and the 214 and what I got was a poorly maintenaned. Currently the brakes do not work well on hills nd slopes. Last week I went to move it and seat came off. That was the last straw. I purchase the a  18 hp vanguard DLX landlord.  The issue is that it do not come with deck just the snow blower package.   So I need to buy a deck. It appears the decks were 44" and 50" for this model. I can't seem to find a good used one on line. Does anyone know if there is a compatible deck from another model or Manufacure.  What would be the best tiller to add to this tracker> Any help on the deck would be appreciated. Thanks,

Other Landlord models of the same hood style, Broadmoors same hood style, Agco and Massey Ferguson copies of the same tractors, early to mid 2000's Broadmoor, Conquest and Prestige tractors along with the same years of Regents ...all have decks compatible with your tractor. You will have to stick with the 44 and 50" decks. 44's are way easier to find than the 50's.

Some of the Broadmoor decks only have a single lift point while your tractor requires double lift points to raise the deck. Requires adding some short brackets  to convert.

In looking for one of these decks make sure the height adjustment crank turns free and /or is not broke off. Seen this alot.

If its the same tractor as pictured, It does not appear to be a DLX. Those were built from around '99 to '01 and had foot pedal speed controls and had vents in the hood. The one in the picture looks like maybe a '94 to '95 year which will have the speed control on the dash.

Hello glad I got on this site. I hope to upload a couple of photos of my Simplicity Broadmoor
Model 707 Tractor. I have replaced all the belts on it and installed a new ignition switch.
Have a mower deck which was in poor shape , repaced a couple of bushings and welded the
deck where there was some holes. The tractor and mower deck came from a friend and the
mower deck metal was getting pretty thin. Some new metal was put in it and we also undercoated the underside of the deck. This was done by my friend Greg Toulman.
I have not put the mower deck on the tractor yet, waiting for Greg to come home and give me a hand. Can you please tell me if there is a manual for the mower deck and where I could get one.
I would also like to get some moon wheel discs as well.
I will try and down load some photos of the tractor when my wife shows me how to.
I really love driving this tractor and also how well it is made compare today's tractors, especially the flexible rear end and the rollers.
      Tell the next time
      Paul
