Ron_B 0 Posted April 21, 2002 Thats to bad Butch. You do run into that. I do not know what they think they gain, treating a customer that way.I have been in luck with most of my orders. But there is that one jerk out there. Lots of luck ---Ron B
JDSnyder 0 Posted April 21, 2002 I have had good service from Jack's, as recently as two weeks ago. They shipped a wrong part that was two digits inverted off from the part number I ordered. They were most accomodating about getting it changed out. Shipped the replacement right away and sent a call tag for the mis-shipped part. They are also sponsors of this site. John_RI 8 Posted April 21, 2002 I've had it go both ways. I did have much better success with the phone than with eMail. John(ri)
RonT 1 Posted April 21, 2002 I made an order from them for about $65.00 and then realized about five minutes later that I forgot a $2.00 fitting for the bottom of the fuel tank. So I ordered it then I sent them an email asking if it was posible to ship them on the same order. All I got back as a reply was "NO" not even a reason why. I think I may of made my last order from Jacks. Ron
BradW 0 Posted April 21, 2002 I'm glad to hear some feedback on Jack's since I WAS going to order a engine rebuild kit from them. Now I'm thinking twice about this and will spend the extra money and order locally. KS
gretsch 0 Posted April 21, 2002 Anyone else in this club have the quality of customer service with Jack's Small Engines degrade considerably. When a company will accept your order, bill your credit card immediately, let you wait a month (still waiting) on your order, disregard email attempts to check on the status of your order, I believe that customer satisfaction is ranked really high at the top of their values. I bet I'll order a lot more supplies from them.
Ryan 0 Posted April 21, 2002 Sorry to hear about that. I try to by local, but can't always do it. Thanks for the feed. I bet I will never order from there. Their not responding probably just cost them thousands of dollars. I hope everything turns out OK. Ryan
dlcentral 1 Posted April 22, 2002 I order all the time from them and am very pleased with the service they give me. But I order online only,,When I call the phone # to ask about an order# they tell me what day it will get here and are right on the money,,
Kent 436 Posted April 22, 2002 The only problems I've had when ordering from Jack's was my own mistake on part numbers... Returns are a bit more of a hassle "long-distance," but once I special order old parts from local dealers, it can sometimes be a hassle or I end up paying a restock fee to return those too... Overall, I've been pleased with Jacks. If I know exactly the part number I need, the service is usually quick and convenient, being delivered to my mailbox. Don't discount the time and gas money you can spend "running around" looking for something.... I personally try to spread my business around, giving all the advertisers some business... but, I'm in a somewhat different position than you guys! Guest Posted April 23, 2002 I too have had my share of problems with Jacks. I stopped ordering my replacement parts from him 2 years ago. I will not go back.
Woodydel 0 Posted April 23, 2002 Alright, now I have to say it. I think most people know the phrase about not biting the hand that feeds you. Such as in advertising...Other than that anyone who doesn't treat a customer properly is fair game and maybe the negative comments could bring about an improvement...Woody
