Have located a gilson hydrostat lawn tractor without engine. I think it was manufactured with a 16hp v-twin engine, I am going to purchase it and try to mount a single cylinder cast iron briggs. Help! anyone with any information on this old tractor please post reply. No tags so I don;t have model nbrs.

I know of an old boy in Caatskills[old AC dlr] has 6 of them new in crates still from '83! I have a nice running used 16 Briggs twin HORIZONTAL eng here??,,

They are a heavy built tractor but if your getting attachments with "just say No" If you want to pull a cart around and its dirt cheap it may be worth the trouble. I got two of 'em 'too cheap to pass up', one cause of lug tires one for the starter gen, they both turned out to be good runners..MPH

Dave, just saw a guy on the gilson site looking for the poor ole boy stuck with them gilsons, if you could give me his name and ph # maybe we can help him get rid of one..Thanks..MPH
