Brettw Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 Question: Is there some reason a 2016-2017 Regent should be so loud when mowing? I have a neighbor across the street who purchased a new Regent. Thankfully he has brought balance back to the Simplicity / John Deere wars that surround me. Anyway, whenever he is cutting I certainly know it's him. LOUD mower deck. Now, I realize all decks are loud, but this sounds like there is something wrong. Anything through the grapevine that tells us this is a problem with these? Or, is there something probably wrong?

I had a Regent 38" with a deck and it had 2-20" counter rotating blades, I found out the hard way, and realized what the timing belt was for. Anyway it also so sounded like a chopper. 1
