PhanDad
Getting ready for winter after finally getting done with leaves. While prepping the snowblower, I noticed the driven pulley was loose- again. It's been a nagging issue over the years; I've even had them come completely off the shaft during use and that's definitely not a fun "repair". At least this time I found it before the pulley came completely off. So I decided to add some insurance to keep the pulley firmly attached (besides torquing the square head set screw per the IPL and adding loctite): There was just enough shaft sticking out to add a single screw clamping shaft collar - even got a stainless one ($12.35 from Grainger). I think this setup should solve the problem. 3
spi
Lets hope, that can be annoying. Good idea.
landlord2110
I've used stainless steel hose clamps if there's enough shaft to fasten to.
B10Dave
Looks like a good solution Bill. That collar seems to be high quality.
B-16_IC
That will be cheap insurance. And it looks nice!
