Tuffy 1 Report post Posted April 23, 2002 See the interesting article regarding farm tractors holding thier value and price after 15 years old. I think we see the same with the older AC and Simplicity Lines - especially the "Large Garden Variety" such as the Powermax. Interesting read. Enjoy. MPH 12 Report post Posted April 25, 2002 Tuffy: I enjoyed this. Thank you. IMHO, good boats are like this to, or, while they may not Appreciate, they hold their value well. Have you seen this phenomenon re: civil aircraft? I forget the numbers, but a Beech Bonanza can now cost in excess of 1/2 MILLION DOLLARS. You can imagine the used values, for the same airframe. Re: less expensive craft, like Cessnas, I can't remember the numbers, exactly, but I believe new piston models are like up to a 1/4 million now, again, for the exact same airframe (to my knowledge)sold for the last 50 years, and the values of these aircraft, now, far exceed the numerical dollar amounts of the original MSRP's. Don't know about adjusted dollars, but it is startling, in any event. Peter
