7119 Purchase Decision

A neighbor has a pretty decent 7119 for sale. Tractor and blower only, no deck. It has a Series 2 KT19, starts and runs well, I believe it is a fairly low hour machine. A little crusty, but some TLC would do wonders. He's not real big on maintenance, but I don't think it has been beaten too badly and has always been garaged. He will take 500 for it, which I think is a steal. I already have a nice Sunstar, a John Deere 1025R, and am restoring a 1992 Sovereign, so garage space is a bit tight. My gut tells me to snap it up for that price, any thoughts or comments out there???

500 is a pretty good deal IMO. The series 2 engine makes it a no brainer in my book. I have owned a few 7119s over the years....great little tractors.

Good luck.

If you live in snow country it is worth that as a snowblower only.

Great deal...they have loads of power and dont come up often.  I had one in extremely nice shape.  I gave $800 for it, with a deck.  When it sold, it got $1100 (all polished up, from a collector)

Great engine, and the most powerful (gas) Sovereign from the factory.  Very good deal if in fairly good condition.  The "TLC" can many times do wonders, unless that means "Totally Lost Cause". 666
