dhoadley Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 (edited) I just dropped the check into the mail this evening to renew my membership; the best $10 I spend all year. I wanted to start this post in "Talking Tractors" so that those who come here who are not yet members can hear from others the benefits of membership. I'm a suburban yankee with less than 1/2 acre of land who could barely change the oil in his push mower. I'm now the proud owner of 7 tractors and the good-natured butt of jokes in my family. There's something very, very wrong with me, but I take comfort in not being the only guy in the world with "too many" lawnmowers. Its also nice to joke around and get to know people from other parts of the country, probably with very different views on things in our divisive culture. Thanks for letting me hang, Dave Edited February 18, 2019 by dhoadley 5
MrSteele Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Well, I am a southern redneck with 2 Landlords, an Ariens and a Dixon ZTR, a Ford, several Yazoo walk behinds, a couple Jacobsen turf machines and, several others. I can cut my yard in about an hour, walking behind an 18" Yazoo. I just enjoy working on/playing with/hearing old engines run/tinkering.... The first $10 was well worth the money, as have succeeding $10 years of dues payments. BTW, it would appear that you ain't got enough toys, go get a few more! 4
dhoadley Posted February 23, 2019 Author Posted February 23, 2019 7 tractors, 4 walk-behind snowblowers, 4 walk-behind mowers, a walk-behind rototiller, a chipper/shredder, and a small generator. Any more additions would be stored outside. 2
