Hydro Lift/ Power Steering Cylinder Repair

Just a heads up for any members in the SE Wisconsin area... I have a late model Sovereign project tractor that had a leaking lift cylinder. I priced out a new one at well over 300 dollars. I would prefer to fix it myself but I don't have a lathe to cut open the welded cylinder. I talked to a few shops but no one seemed interested in messing with such a small item. The local NAPA recommended AFI Direct Services in Oak Creek. They have been doing hydraulic repairs since the 50's according to their website. I took my cylinder there 2 weeks ago and they were awesome. Picked it up yesterday, it looked like new and works perfectly, no more leaking. The total damage was 170 dollars. My Sunstar power steering cylinder is starting to weep, and now I know where to take it when the time comes. I wasted 60 dollars on a lift cylinder on Ebay that leaked worse than the one I had, live and learn I guess.
