Couple of questions

I have 2 questions please and thank you.

These are going to be on my B 110 with the hydro lift with a repowered with a Briggs 16hp.

1,  For some reason I seem to be having a hard time trying to find all my belt sizes for the tractor and the 42" mower deck. I can find the motor to generator size of 39" and the drive belt size of I think it was 46" but I don't know if it is the deck drive or the tractor drive.  I need to replace all the belts on the tractor and deck. Leading me to question,

2,  I did replace the tractor drive belt how ever when ever I tow my little yard wagon or the lawn roller some times the only way I can keep the tractor moving is to put it in 1st gear.  This is the same with mowing.  Granted I do have loaded rear tires.  The part that I also don't get is I don't have these issues if I am on the concrete driveway or they aren't as noticable.

So I need some advice or help.

Thank you.

sounds to me that your belt is either to long and slipping or the tensioner spring has become weak or your clutch pedal is sticking and won't allow for full engagement.

as for belt lengths I no longer remember all those lengths and #'s but someone will chime in with them , best site in the world for these old tractors.

Here's the IPL and some pics of a B-110 Tranny:

Make sure both the "lever assembly" (part #7) and the "pivot assembly" (part #5) freely rotate.  If they do and the idler isn't providing tension to the belt, the belt is probably too long.  The belt is part #154273, it's an HB belt, 42.3" long.

Or as stated above, the clutch pedal is sticking not allowing the rod to move all the way back or the double nuts on the end of the clutch rod guide assembly (part #25) aren't set correctly - should be a small gap as can be seen in the pic.

Here's a pic of the PTO assembly:

Those belts are sort of a "matched pair" - if one's too long, the other needs to be shorter.  The spec length for the PTO belt is 34.1" (part #164146) and the cross drive belt (to deck) is 44.1" (part #174911).  My notes indicated I was last running a 33" PTO belt, but I don't know what the length of the cross drive belt is.

How wide are the belts or are they all 1/2 wide ? Where can I get the spring or a part number ?  I will have to post some pics of what I have.  How about the belt going from the motor to the. starter/generator ?

The two PTO belts are HA belts.  The S/G belt is a 3/8 belt.

This chart shows the dimensions of the belts.  HA belts are basically 1/2”; HB basically 5/8”; 3/8  basically a 3L.

Thank you 2 the both of you for the help. I appreciate it very much.  Going to try and get my belts and spring this week yet and if our rain ever let's up, I will give it a whirl.

Okay so I went out and got my belts and spring for this B110 with a B112 hood and a 16Hp motor.   They happened to have a owner's manual too.  But things still do not look correct and I can see some operational issues.

Okay I think I got it figured out.  I believe the belt I have is a 44" for the deck drive belt #174911 & not the belt number #154273 that one is on order so I guess I hurry up and wait for that belt.

Sorry for the confusion it's all on me.

Don't how how much it'll matter when you get the shorter drive belt, but the clutch and brakes rods at the clutch pedal are backwards (and I don't see a spring):

Oh great something else that's not right.  Maybe I better take some more pics of things.  So now I need to find another spring.

Hmmmm I think I see another part I am missing from your pics.  The bar attached to the lift arm with the 2 bolts on the end. I don't believe I have that either.

I'll try to answer some of your questions.

The missing bar is just a piece of flat stock that extends back so the chain from the mower deck can be attached.  I think the bar came with either the optional PTO or the deck.  Here's the best pic I have:

As far as the clutch idler pulley, I think it will look more like mine when the correct, shorter belt is installed.  There just needs to be enough room for the pulley to move up and down some and keep tension on the belt.

As to your other questions, the reason I have so many somewhat detailed pic of the B-110 tranny and clutch rod setup is because they are the "before" pics I took for reference when I converted the B-110 to an HB-110.  So I can no longer look at the 3 speed tranny setup to answer your questions.  Hopefully the following pics will help some, they are the remaining "before" pics I didn't post above:

PS - If you don't have operators or parts manuals for your B-110 and attachments, they are available in the "Downloads" section of the site:
