Bunky 3 Posted April 29, 2002 Hello i have a Yeoman 627 well the engine that was on it was bad and I had a newer 8hp briggs here so I wanted to change the engine well in th process of getting the pulleys of I broke the Cast iron Drive pulley, I have not yet been able to locate another one and thet are no longer available.. I have a pulley off an older 717 but it's a little bigger Dia. 4 1/2 rather then 3 1/2 If i'm right this will make the tractor go faste but have less power am I right???? Also has anyone else done this????
acjohn 0 Posted April 29, 2002 yes, you are correct. the larger pulley will increase your driven speed but decrease the torque transmitted. if you have the original pulley, any industrial supply company (should have on the shelf) can order if necessary.
