716H mower deck belt

I've been using the NAPA/Gates "heavy duty FHP" belt on my 716H for a year and have had a couple of them "roll" over on to their sides in the V-belt grooves. One thing I noticed was that the belt seems to come off the mower deck pulley at a pretty decent angle. Would one of you with a similar machine mind lowering the deck down to the mowing position and check to see what angle the belt is at? Here's what mine looks like:

The idler tension assembly looks correct and with this belt the tension spring looks like it has about the right tension, so I'm not sure what the issue is. I had been using 4L700W belts, but tried a 4L730W on other peoples recommendations thinking it might swing the tensioner assembly up further, improving belt angle, but the stop on the tensioner hits the frame so that belt definitely won't tension properly.

Maybe I should just go back to using Simplicity belts? :-)

And here's some more pics around my 7016H center PTO with a 42" deck:

I don't have any deck driven pulley pics with the 42" deck.  Here's a few pics of the current 48" deck driven pulley pics:

The drive belt above is the Simplicity specified belt for driving a 48" deck, part #163011 (HA 71.6").

PS - Deck is set at highest cutting position (greatest belt angle).

Yeah, I read that post you linked to before buying the 73" belt. The problem on my tractor is that the swinging tensioner pulley bracket "stop" hits the frame before the belts are tight, so it won't work.

Looking at the angle from the PTO pulley down to the v-belt tensioner pulley on mine, I can see they are a fair bit out of alignment so I will fix that and see if it helps.
