20hp Briggs Intec Single Cylinder - Found this metal piece in the inner workings where the cam is located.  The compression release was busted off by this metal part.  No other damage. Does anyone know where this came from?  Cannot figure out where it could have come from.  It doesn't fit on anything.  Going to put the engine back together and hope it doesn't belong in it.  Was this engine sabotaged?

Going out on a limb here, but I'll bet one of the grandkids dropped it in the oil fill.  Looks kind'a like an axel end cap.

Briggs used plugs like that to plug the outside of the hole where the camshaft pin went through the block.
