Terry9 0 Posted April 26, 2002 John: You did the right thing--Dutch should know that we care. Brent, I couldn't have said any of it any better--my life is definitely richer with Dutch, and you all, in it. Dutch--hope you're better already, but I'm praying for you anyway. JonetteP 0 Posted April 26, 2002 Hi Dutch, I will be glad to see you are doing better when you are online again. As other members have noted, we appreciate all the tips you give us. We have an older gentleman that retired in 1987. He came to us to do "something". Being an old auto mechanic, he fit right in. He says he knows nothing, but when our model T transmission was giving us problems, he told us exactly how to fix it. Your experience and insight is invaluable! Take Care Neal
Brent_Baumer 5 Posted April 26, 2002 Not good. Glad at least he's gonna go get checked out right away. Too many people dismiss serious problems as "nothing". Thank you very much for alerting the club. I know all of us feel the same as you, and sure Dutch wouldn't mind. His wit, experience and online friendship mean alot to alot of people, myself included. Dougm ....as far as being on the verge of being a sick man I don't take any stock in that. I have been on the verge of being an angel all of my life, but it's never happened yet. - Mark Twain, a Biography

johnmonkey 4 Posted April 27, 2002 I was supposed to meet Dutch this afternoon to pick-up a sickle bar mower. My wife got a call from Dutch and he said he was on the way to the hospital because he was having trouble breathing. I pray everything is okay and if I hear anything I will let you know. If anyone else hears anything please let us know. John Hollyfield PS. I hope he does not mind if I posted this message. I called Dutch about 10:30 AM EST on 4/27/02 and his wife answered the phone. She said he was home sleeping but when he awoke he was heading back to the hospital. She said he was not doing well, so keep praying.I did not want to bother her with lots of questions, so that is all I Know at this time.
