3416S Clutch Plates Info

So a new to me 3416s followed me home last weekend and I had a question regarding the clutch plates. From what I can tell, they have a consumable amount of friction material and once consumed, they are roughly $120 to replace. Is there any way to purchase a friction material off of McMaster and reline the clutch disc? Thanks!

I think that because it goes on the inside of the cone's circular surface,  the leather belt is used to reline the cone.  But the pivot assy better lends itself to brake material.

The answer is yes, you can buy friction material.  Unsure what clutch he was addressing, I provided an example of relining the mid PTO's pivot assembly.

My apologies for not responding sooner, I forgot to select notifications.,

This would be for the mid clutch that would run a tiller or run a mower deck

That's what I thought.  My references above are for the mid PTO cone clutch and pivot assembly.  You can use flat brake material to reline the pivot assy.  But the cone itself, because of the inside radius,  you need to use a more flexible material.  An old school brake shop can do it with regular brake material, but they are few and far between.  Which is why folks are using a piece of a leather belt and JB Weld.
