Bill725 Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 I have a Legacy XL powered with a 27HP Kawasaki and I am unable to get a grease gun hose end zerk coupler onto the front motor to transmission driveshaft u-joint. How do you Legacy XL guys grease it? Do I have to un-bolt the driveshaft from the engine in order to get enough room to grease it?
B10Dave Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 You can buy what is known as a NEEDLE greaser. Fits on the hose of your grease gun and you just put it's needle end up to the ball in the zerk fitting. Push in a bit to release the ball and seal on the hole. Pump in a couple of shots and off to the races. Any auto parts store will have the needle greaser.
