Legacy XL engine quits on PTO engagement

Hello all,

Been having an issue with the PTO for a while where I have to turn the RMO key on before engaging PTO (reverse of normal procedure) or the engine would quit. Last weekend after mowing for while I went back out to finiish but now the engine quits on PTO activation regardless of what I do. Have tried to bypas safety switches, (brake, seat, reverse) to see if one was bad but no joy. Unplugged the RMO module and wired the ignition wires together with jumper wire to start tractor but still quits. Any suggestions on where to look now? Manufacture number I believe is 1694645.

What happens if you engage the rear PTO?

Same in all positons, mid, rear, both.

Sounds like a bad PTO engagement wire is grounding out the safety circuit, thus grounding the ignition.
