WVtractor Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 Alright im figuring this forum out and found my belt info and have new belts fot the pto and mower. I watched a video on how to adjust the PTO but my 3112v has a lever on the back of the spring and levers on the back trans and im not sure if it needs to be engaged to get the proper adjust or how to adjust it with it in. It wont hardly move. Also it seems like its bending the idler into the brackets i can see it rubbing and get a few sparks. So any help is appreciated. Thanks
Chris727 Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 The lever by the rear axle needs to be pulled back and engaged so that the spring and belts are tight. From there you can make your adjustments. As for the rubbing the idler pulley may be the wrong one and is too wide or may need another washer to space it out. It could also be that the rod and guide are bent. That is a fairly common issue.
WVtractor Posted July 11, 2019 Author Posted July 11, 2019 Great info. Im going to compare this pulley against the parts tractir pull to see. And try to addjust. Might have to do some part swapping . Another problem i noticed was i lost some of my positive tram. Acted as if my brand new belt was slipping
