Mystery Plow

Look Out Hill

Definitely a walk behind attachment, a wise ole gentleman pointed out to me that if the adjusting crank points to the back it’s for a walk behind so you can reach down and adjust it. Conversely a plow for a rider tractor has the crank pointing forward so you can adjust it from the seat.

Hi,  Thanks for the responses.  I would agree with the walk behind given the direction of the crank, except I would have thought it would have extended beyond the plow for easy access from a walking position.  It does not appear the plow has been adapted for tractor use as it lines right up with my lift attachment (AC410). I attached a couple more pics which show the crank better...  Thoughts?  Or do we still think it was a walk behind...  Thanks again...

Hi,

You guys are absolutely right..  I found a pic of the very plow I have hooked to a walk behind...  Whoever had this plow originally did modify it by welding a spindle to the frame which mounts to the handles of the walk behind so it could be hooked to a tractor.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
