Simplicity model 4208 - Bagger Attachement?

My 4212 has a dual rear bagger that came with it (has 36" deck) but I don't know if there was a horsepower cutoff that dictated whether the bagger could be used. If the grass is tall and damp you really have to slow down to keep it from plugging up the tube. But when yard is good and dry it works like a charm.

Sure baggers were very popular on the 4000 series - at least until recently when mulchers gained popularity. I don't know if you can order new ones but I do have some used ones available. Let me know if interested. If you have to get into wet or damp grass go with the turbo system - it is an auxiliary fan that runs of the RH arbor by way of a double pulley. The extra wind created is a big help sending the grass around the bend and up the tube. If you can cut when it is always dry out it may not be necessary. It would be nice to have more HP but I know people that get by OK with 8HP - just remember everthing has limitations - except this club's membership growth! :)
