Fork lift

With this whole stay at home business I’ve had plenty of time to work on some projects I’ve been putting off for awhile now. First the plow and now the forklift. I acquired this from Josh who picked it up out of Ohio I believe. This was originally a forklift for the b series tractors, the p.o. Had cut the frame apart and built it into a 3pt hitch set up. I’m not sure what he used it on but I thought the his adaptation was a bit crude so I started over. He also added a second lift cylinder for more capacity. Here’s what I’ve come up with, I have a reservoir just not mounted yet, just have the plumbing to finish up.

Great job Phil!

I was going to ask if you were going to machine a retaining groove in the splined shaft adapter but see you wont need one as the entire bracket is secured.

Nicely done.  Even the convenient location of the spool valve.dOd

Awesome improvements! The previous owner also beefed up the lift chain over what the original was. When this wraps up I will share the finished product pictures with him. The man I bought it from was selling it from his deceased father‘s estate. That man was a dealer for decades in Zanesville Ohio. I have some pictures that I’ll have to dig up that he sent me from the very first day they put Allis Chalmer’s garden tractors into the dealership.

I have it all painted up and hoses made. Just have to finish the forks. They were added on to but it was a bit of a hack job. Got the steal so maybe tomorrow if I have time.

Very nice Phil, but what's the excavator for, new drive ?

I had a couple of trees cut down that were leaning toward the barn, had them dropped in the swamp, easiest way to clean them up was the excavator with the thumb

If that was from a B series, what's up with the dual external cylinders?

The previous owner added the second  cylinder for more lift capacity
