Float valves

Have you guys seen alot of float valves swell do to old gasoline? It seems to be an inherent problem here.

It is probably alcohol mixed with the gasoline that causes this. In this area they add alcohol in winter months. Prolonged contact with alcohol will cause some types of rubber to swell. Rod H.
