ka9bxg 3 Posted May 10, 2002 I live in Wisconsin where they were made but seems to me most of the tractors went to the east coast. What's with this. There were quite a few at the Baraboo show but don't see that many around here.Bob
dreaco_99 0 Posted May 10, 2002 Well, as most of you remember, I'm a new member of this site and I have recently picked up a couple of older Simplicity tractors (66 Landlord, 75 Sovereign). Well, I think i'm legitimately a nut now as I have just agreed to pick up yet another Simplicity tractor...for free no less! My Schwan's delivery man was inquiring about my old iron, and me thinking he wanted to buy one of them, politely told him I wasn't selling at this time. Well, he corrected me by saying that he had an old Simplicity tractor sitting in his yard with a blown motor and wanted to get rid of it...my eyes twinkled as I said I'd be over to get it this weekend. He was going to toss it into the dump! He doesn't know exactly what he has, but he did say that he has the complete tractor in good shape and several of the attachments. I'll keep everyone posted with what I find and perhaps pass this on to someone. I'm certainly not going to keep THREE old tractors around...I can spread the wealth! Dutch 4 Posted May 10, 2002 Greg, What's that "new member" stuff? That's only valid in the first sentence of the first post........ Sounds like you caught the fever. Congratulations!
HubbardRA 20 Posted May 10, 2002 Why do these things always happen several states away? Down here in VA it is hard to find Simplicity and AC machines, let alone find someone to give you one. I guess I just live in the middle of Cub Cadet Country. Every time I find a part or machine that I want, I find that shipping costs more than the part. I think I need to take a vacation into Simplicity Country and bring back a truck load. Rod H.
