Gas in my oil on 4040

Could the gas be getting by the rings on the compression stroke? Scott

Hadn't touched it in about 10 days so went to fire up the 4040 yesterday just because, checked oil first and was over full by half qt and kinda thin, so drained it. put in new, right to full mark, ran it for about 20 min then checked oil, over full by half qt again, float is set at 5/16 like book says, doesn't run past float valve when turned off, ie, inside of manifold is dry. I have electric fuel pump on so no leaky diapham., where is coming from???Thanks..

It's probably the fuel pump diaphragm split. You will need a kit to rebuild if so. I think there were some earlier entries on this if you check. An alternative might be to add on an electric pump. Good luck. Peter
