Time to make some time

Well, this hood was pretty well damaged, repainted by one or more P.O.'s and ready for the scrap yard.  Instead, I did a restore........of part of it.  I might have to add a battery and switch just for the occasional show, (this was just a temp hook up for the picture) but it is a fully functioning shop clock now and I must say I really like how it turned out.  Even at the worst case scenario, I have a excellent set of complete pods in great shape with 4 original bulbs!

That is fantastic!  And very creative!.  I'd put an Allis version in my shop in a heartbeat.

By the way, looks like you have the same MF tool chest that I've got in my shop.

Now I know what to do with the extra hoods in the future..

I know.  I thought of this a bit too late in the game, could have made a few of these with hoods I have had to either give away or scrap.   Clock motors with the hands are less than 10 bux on E-Bay, but you do have to make sure you get one with a long enough shaft, and then with the correct length hands for the size of the face.  Other than that, a piece of cake to make.  I am mostly into the 7100 series, but have always thought the 3400's were the best looking of all of them.

That's one of the more creative puns I've seen to date!  (This coming from a guy who has a co-worker who won't let an opportunity pass if a pun fits a conversation.)

Older flat hood, I hope. The peanuts tend to roll off all the others.... sm03
