Green is for the Birds

Recommended Posts

MPH, it must be the green pigment -- I think the color is molded in on those birdhouses. I bought my wife a RED one, and the telescoping pole last year at a local "bird watchers supply"... Actually, I'll bet Deere charges an incredibly high "royalty" to be able to add their name and logo.... It just looks more outrageous, when it almost doubles the price of a product. Woody, if we're speaking in cliches, it reminds me of another one -- "a fool and his money are soon parted" ...

I know a guy that would pay $5 for a $1 bill because it must be better if it cost more. The Deere guys may believe that a JD birdhouse will attract a higher class of bird.

In the old days a company paid the consumer to allow their logo/advertising to be put on something the consumer owned or wore. Now the consumers pay the manufacturers to get items with the company logo on it. Seems screwy to me so I will not pay extra for anything with a logo. Just my warped wa;y of thinking. Roy

I won't even wear anything with a logo unless I get paid. Anybody remember the guys that used to get paid to walk the streets with "sandwich board" advertizing?
