B_Detrick
Will a snowblower that fits a Simplicity 5216 fit a 6212.5? I own the 6212.5, but saw a 5216 while on vacation and the owner said he might sell the snowblower to me if interested, but I need to know if it will fit first. The frames seem the same, but the tractors are 300 miles apart so I couldn't compare them closely. thank you
ckc72r
I have not worked with the snowblower, but I have been able to switch decks from a 5216 to a 6216. Also the front plows will mate right up as well. The only part that may be different is how the belt hooks up between the two tractors. I believe that the two frames are the same until they mate with the rear end. The front will separate from the "box portion" that holds the particular rear end in the tractor. Make sure it is a simplicity blower. Download the manuals and make sure it looks the same from the book to what you are seeing in real life. The owner of that blower could have retrofit something onto his machine that maybe is not a factory design. Have seen this in the past with a simplicity tractor of this era and a different manufacturer blower on the front. That's all the help I can give, maybe there is someone that has actually worked with the snowblower on this model.
