Came across this on eBay. Description says that tractor was built for Sears by Simplicity. Can anyone shed light on this? Thanks, John_ri[A href='http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2024259969']http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2024259969[/a]

Dunno what he's been smoking... but it looks like a Roper-made tractor to me... I don't see anything that bears any resemblance to Simplicity, and as far as I know, they never did. I've heard claims that they may have made some for JC Penney, but I've been unable to confirm or disprove it.

I agree Kent, only thing that looks like it MIGHT fit a Simplicity is the 5 bolt rear rims. Me thinks he been smokin; the rope r..MPH

That tractor is a SS15 built by Roper for Sears, I know.... They DO have some mean weeds in New Hampshire and it has infected this guys mind, no doubt. Sandy

Not a Simplicity. I've got a 12 Hp version of this machine sitting in my back yard. It is a "Roper"! Very popular tractors in these parts. I've seen plenty of them. Rod H.

Seller has corrected his adv.. This tractor was listed awhile ago. I had posted it as an ebay mess up. This & $1.00 might get you a small Coffee Maynard aka/UCD
