I had a new 2004 ? Massey GC2300 for a few years. Loved it and put a couple hundred hours or so on it with no problems. Loader would lift more than my Kubota BX can. Only regret I had was not buying the 2310 with the backhoe on it for about 5k more. If I would have I wouldnt have let go of it. Back then they were an Iseki brand tractor. Have never heard anything wrong with them over the years. Pretty much same size and make up as 1723. Dealer here sells quite a few of them. About all I know.
MARK (LI)
I know that MF had a twin to the Legacies ..this looks a little like a Legacy except the floor is flat....whereas the Legacy has a bit of a hump...the engine is still Iseki..the back hoe does not look very big..but I am not going to get that, anyway....not even sure it is available on the 1723.....and I know they had a problem with some of them recently the rams were bending...that is supposed to have been straightened out....it looks like more room under the hood and the engine looks more accessible...the steering is a lot tighter...thanks for input, Sam

GregB
Wow, some one did not spec that shaft correctly. Or they really need to check into their suppliers quality systems............ Quote
MARK (LI)
The guy was told that the back hoe was made by a Swedish company that cut the size of the ram down from 32 MM to 28 MM ( why can't they turn that into inches?)

MARK (LI)
You are right ...it does not seem like a lot...but it is a 10% reduction in diameter

MARK (LI)
I had not thought of that...that is a significant decrease....and in either event...it does sound like a rather small diameter for that kind of work Edited October 1, 2020 by MARK (LI)

victorsnc
Nice tractor! Does it have the Blue DEF system?, or the "soot burner" diesel particulate filter that runs at such an extreme temperature?

MARK (LI)
No regen on it...it's only 22.5 HP...but it is a lot more of a brute than my Legacy 25 Kohler was...not sure at what HP the Regen and DEF is required

Snojetter
I seriously considered buying one of those 3 years ago when I was looking for a compact tractor. From my research they seem extremely capable! I found a low hour JD 855 at a reasonable price and went that route instead. What pushed me towards the green tractor was the taller tires able to use standard CAT 1 implements, and position control on the 3-point. MARK (LI)
I think the JD 855 is a real CUT,,,this is labelled as a SCUT but I think all the tractor makers have stopped calling them Garden Tractors and now calling them all SCUTS...there is a huge difference in the wheel sizes though...which brings up in my mind the little Economy Tractors with 16" wheels on the rears ...it does give them a certain look that has to be appreciated
