Hooking Snowblower to an AC 312D

I have an Allis Chalmers 312 D and a Simplicity 1690403 snowblower. Are these two compatible? The blower I’m told was previously mounted on a Deutz-Allis. I didn’t get any manuals for the tractor or the blower.

Also, has anyone heard of mounting a Haban snowblower on a B-10?

I believe the snow blower head could be compatible, but the hitch not.

The hitch pictured isn't for a large frame tractor; and the "standard" "Sovereign" hitches won't work for the AC 300/400 series tractors.  They are very different and not easily found.

Some pics of an AC300 snowblower setup::

I'm not sure if this is an AC 300 or 400 snowblower, but you get the idea of the hitch you need:

Thanks Phandad! These pics are very helpful. Is that your 312? Do you know what year it is? The decals are different than mine, though I thought they only made the 312 in 1971?

Nope.

I collect pics from ads, etc as I see them.

Digital pics are great; you can never have enough.

Here are the rest of the pics of that tractor:

As you can see from the detail pics, I was curious about how the snowblower mounted to the tractor.  I knew it was different, but until I ran into this one, I didn't know the details.

The only saying is true; a pic is worth a thousand words.

An interesting side thought as I reviewed these AC300/400 snowblower pics.

I recently reviewed @Dutch's post about an intermediate hitch he made to mount a snowblower on a 7000 series without using a front PTO.  He used a spare deck arbor (mounted in a bracket he made) to act as an intermediate vertical shaft double pulley setup.  The top pulley was positioned in the same location as the center deck pulley and was driven from the mid PTO just like as deck.  A belt ran from the bottom pulley to the snowblower.  (two separate belts)

The above is similar - but one belt using the same PTO as the mower deck.  For those that aren't familiar with the AC300/400, the deck is driven from a front PTO using a mule drive.

Very complicated IMO.

The AC built Homelites got it right in my opinion.  They used a relatively simple mule drive that directed the belt forward rather than rearward:

Dont know Bill. Looks like hitch for a 1st gen Homleite axle.  I did used to have one, and probably  posted pics years ago, but lost all those early pics through a series of  defunct picture hosting services.

Those old 300/400 series blower mounts/drive are a similar idea to the modern Broadmoor/Conquest/prestige setups.

Cant say as to how many 300/400 series tractors I have seen for sale over the years that still had the blower/blade mount brackets still attached to the tractor frames...but no implement. Alot of em though.

You definitely sent me the second pic (It's named "Sams_Hitch"), not sure about the first one.

Our memory's aren't what they used to be; based on the pic data file, you sent me that pic in February 2007.

Added "n't" to "can" - changes the meaning just a bit

Old Thread, but hoping I can still ask a question. I also have a 312D with a snowblower. I am trying to hook it up based solely one the above pictures. Are the circled areas in my attached image the only area where It mates with tractor? Or is there more connections that are not visible. Thanks for any help.

Many years ago I was given a snothrower and mowing deck from a AC312.  My BIL had a 712H and had a guy mount the snow thrower on the 712 driven from the cone clutch, it worked OK, not easy to lift with manual lift.

The mower deck I gave to a friend with a 3112H he mounted it and twisted the belt the opposite way and it worked pretty good, again not great.
