Whoops, I still can't resist!

I have not been active in the rider world this year much, too many other things taking up my time. But then one showed up on marketplace recently about an hour away and after two price reductions I couldn't resist any longer! So I made a roadtrip in the snow and drizzle this afternoon and picked it up. The Kohler seems to run good and quiet, but the transmission is problematic. No worries, I have spares. Didn't get a chance to look over the accessories really good yet, will do that tomorrow. I'm thinking this will be a keeper and I need to let go of several others that need attention I can't spare.

Another "Merry Christmas" good deal purchase.  Looking forward to seeing more pics.

It's always great bringing another one home.

But hard to let one go.

I got it unloaded late this morning, and assessed things better. After walking around my scattered junkyard I found I believe all parts to make a good tractor out of it. I figure while i'm changing the back half and I'm under it I'll install the NOS electric lift I have on the shelf. :D

The deck is quite sweet, rear rollers are worn but the shell, arbors and blades are very good! The blade is a bit bent up but I've seen worse. The rest of the eclectic parts that were thrown in are up for debate, don't have the rest of the collection system but the blower seems to be a good piece.

I'm heading back out now to swap the nonworking parts off, I'll post the results as they come in!

Today's progress, got the back half swapped out for known good, added electric lift, and upgraded the seat. Few things to button up like servicing the engine, changing front tires, etc..  But I'm thinking this will be a fine machine in the lineup!
