Kent 434 Report post Posted May 19, 2002 Here's what I need. It has a worm gear in it that's worn out... It keeps jumping out of "mesh"... I'll take the whole drive shaft that goes back to the engine, gearbox and all, if that's easier. It'd save me having to tear into to it, also... The augers remove by removing the pins shown, just like the tines on a tiller. http://www.simpletractors.com/clubhouse/images/tracker_gearbox.jpg

Kent 434 Report post Posted May 19, 2002 Yes, the only thing I need is the little "cross-drive" gearbox that drives the rotors. Otherwise, this heavy old thing is in great shape for a 30-year old piece of equipment...
Kent 434 Report post Posted May 19, 2002 It's an 2-stage Allis snowblower from about 1972. It has a cast-iron 3-speed tranny, like a Broadmoor, and a 8HP Briggs engine... Heavy, tough old sucker....
Tired 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2002 Kent, can you snap a picture of it so I can tell if the part will be compatable? Then I'll make sure it' a good part and not the reason that its in the junk yard. Scott
