Simplicity 860 snowblower starter

I have a 24" 860 8 hp blower from the mid 80s. Electric starter is shot and when I did use it I was pull starting it. Fires up on the 2nd pull usually but Im wondering if there is an inexpensive replacement starter in case my wife needed to fire it up. Does anyone know of anything economical?

Yea, I think that's the one. It is a Tecumseh. I recall taking it apart a number of years ago and one of the 2 magnets surrounding the armeture was loose and cracked in half. I epoxied it back in and it spins but its not strong enough to turn the flywheel.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
