2021 Club Elections - Nomination Period Begins Feb 1st

Happy New Year to all of our club members and guests! 

Every other year this time brings about the need for our club to invest in itself through the election of offercers to our Executive Committee.  2021 is an election year for the Simplicity and Allis-Chalmers Garden Tractor Club.  Now is your chance to think about service through a club office, or from whom you envision strong leadership and direction for our club.  **Please note, only club members are eligible to participate in club nominations, discussion and voting.  

Per our bylaws, the official nomination period will begin February 1st for each office.  Our process allows for nominations 2/1/2021 - 2/7/2021.  On February 8th, nominations are closed, and a period of discussion, or Q&A, for each nominee begins.  Discussion topics within our forum are closed at the end of the day February 14 (so make sure all your questions are answered before treating your sweetheart to a Valentine's evening out).

**Voting polls for each positionw will open from February 15 through February 25, 2021.  Newly elected officers will then take office on March 1, 2021.  I have listed each office and the current member holding that office below.  Feel free to reach out to any of them, if you have questions about their role, club membership, or how you can participate.   

You will soon see nomintion posts for each of the available offices, in our Club Business forum.  Nominees who wish to run for office must accept their nomination within the respective nomination topic in order to be included in the voting polls.  Following that, the nominee discussions will also be posted in separate psots within Club Business.  I will share updates to our process as we proceed, within this topic.

We are in need of more club participation!  Please consider one of these roles, or even a more active presence within the forums.  We continue to face pressures from social media platforms, suffer from a general lack of understanding regarding how to manage software upgrades and improvements, enabling easier club dues submissions, reenvigorating face to face club events, in the wave of Covid impacts, etc.  If your skills, or the skills of another make you a person who can help the club in these areas, or any others, please consider an office or making a nomination.

Ken, there will not be a member vote this year, as all seats were uncontested.  The Executive Committee will cast a single vote for each nominee to elect, and those folks begin or continue their roles March 1.
