3110 Mountain Goat

Recommended Posts

Guest
Have a 20 yr. old 3110 (10hp rear eng. rider) that I took the deck off of- using it as my 'ATV' on the farm (new Broadmoor takes care of the mowing now). I haven't found the limits to the traction that this thing has- it'll climb a tree- hence, 'Mountain Goat'. Would like to put some larger diameter agressive ATV wheels/tires on it to increase mobility- but don't want to rip out the tranny. Anyone ever done this? Any thoughts? Thanks for your input.

I've thought of putting the 25" ATV tires on the back and a speed reduction pulley (since I happen to have one) on the tranny to offset, at least in part, the taller tires... but, I haven't tried it.

It shouldn't hurt anything as long as you are not pulling heavy loads behind the vehicle. Changing tires should not hurt as long as you don't add more horsepower. Rod H.
