Dozer blade cross reference

I found a dozer blade (990299) and/or (990664) for my AC 920 in the want ads. Question is this: owner gave me the #s and said that the blade was 1 of 2 pieces. He seems to think it is intact as is, and if so, what is the other piece refered to on the sticker? Question #2: The only place on the site I can find a reference to the part number(s) is on the Homelite Simp table, and it seems to indicate that the difference is hitch points. How can I determine if this will fit my tractor (re, without going on a long drive to see for myself)? The owner seems to think it is approx. 15 yrs old (same vintage as my 920), and it came with a wheelhorse he bought, but it is a Simplicity blade. As always, thanks for the help....

According to the application information I have, dated 1981, this blade (990299) is a 42" snow/dozer blade for Broadmoors, Models 707 thru 728. There is no info for 990664.

The largest tractor listed for it is Simplicity 5010. Though your tractor was made later, my guess is it won't fit -- and it certainly isn't a heavy duty blade such as I guess you'd want for a AC 920.

(Thanks to Bob Tiarks for the source info!)

P/N 990664 refers you to 991010 and thie listing refers to Landloards and Soverigns. The hitch width might be OK but lift method may 180 degrees apart.

As far as I know all 42" snow plow blades are universal from 5HP Serf all the way up to the new Sovereign series - "newer" blades are the spring loaded trip style. The hitches that connect and mount them to the different tractor frames are different as are some of the lift rods.
