Trying to determine what it is the identification tag was scrapped off along with all stickers and the motor was swapped its sporting a 10hp briggs and stratton. Are there any other locations to find the model numbers. Thanks for any help with identification.

@SmilinSam can probably identify your tractor for sure.

It's definitely a six speed tractor, doesn't have pod head lights, and the seat pan doesn't have stripes (1978) so I'm thinking it's a 1977 MFG#1690204 (10HP) or MFG#1690203 (16HP).  But these tractors didn't have gear tooth starters as your tractor does.  Since it has the narrower front tires, that would indicate the 10HP version.

Or it could be a 1978 MFG#1690333 (ring gear starter) with an unstriped seat pan.  (See link below for pic)

Or it could be a mutt - different engine, hood, or seat pan, etc.

See this post for more discussion of possible 6 speed MFG#s:

Looks like a repainted  frankenstein rig to some degree to me.

If the rear tires are 23x10.50x12 I would say a 7016 6 speed with frontwheels/ tires replaced with narrow wheels/tires. Best guess anyhow. Most likely scenario.

The later ones,  later in 77 or early 78 model years ,  did have ring gear starters on them and flywheel charging sytems.

Loads of pictures of such on an internet search. Heres one On Ebay right now....

It all depends on whether the wiring looks factory or not. If it looks hacked it could be a 7010. The 7010's used a 10hp Kohler engine instead of a briggs, and would have been wired totally different than for the engine you have sitting in it right now.

Look for the code number on the engine in this tractor and see what it is. If its original to this tractor it should be 77 or 78 by the numbers.

Thanks for the information I believe the engine was changed the hood has been trimmed to fit over the air filter and the frame has also been cut on the starter side. The engine I believe is a 95 the first 2 digits of the last set of numbers stamped in the blower housing. I will attach pics of the frame and where the hood have been altered to fit the engine

Thats odd, as both the kohler singles and these briggs singles with the flywheel starters were put into these frames from the factory.

The engine also has a pull rope pulley.

They  most all  have that from early on in their production.  A great many of  of these Briggs cast iron engines were used on farm augers and other such applications,  and were started with a rope. The design of the pulley was never changed.

As to the cut frame, the later red replacement engines  may have a different guard than the earlier ones found on these tractors. The guard on the one in the link I posted above  does look to be different than the one on your engine.

It was a barn find where a buddy is storing his boat I was also lucky enough to get a sunstar 20hp with a 48"deck and 47"2 stage blower new batteries in both and carbs cleaned both run good. Thanks for the help.

Square cover vs rounded tin as can be seen comparing this pic of an OEM Briggs in my 7016H and the pic above:

Rear tires are 23x8.5x12 and the wiring is a little hacked

You had a great day.  Usually there's more work than a good carb cleaning to get found old iron running again.

I noticed in the underneath pic of the engine, you had an issue with the front axle rear pivot bearing as can be seen in comparing the pic of your tractor to my 7016H:

Hopefully it's just an issue with the missing nut from the right side bolt.  With the amount of wear in the frame, it' obvious been an issue for a long time.

I haven't gone through it from top to bottom thanks for pointing that out I will have to check everything over. I've noticed a few things I need to fix but it will get done might get some new paint too.
