So I’ve bought this agco diesel for my future plans of a move to the country. It came with a 60 inch deck but that bigger then i need. I’ve got 2 questions 1 i need a snowplow for it is there anywhere else i can look in souther Michigan other then Facebook and Craigslist? Also did they make a smaller deck for them? If so anyone interested in the 60 in trade for the smaller one? Thanks.

I believe that it is fairly similar to a Legacy...which also had 54" and 48" decks available

I am told it is a legacy just has agco decals.

I guess it was a popular design....I know that MF made one also...although, MF is made by AGCO

While they may not be a bargain, you might try checking with any of the larger  or older Simplicity dealerships in the region.

I have an Agco 2020 gas with a 48 inch deck. That's perfect for me. It really is a Legacy with different badging so anything that fits a Legacy also fits the 2020.

Any possibilty that Sunstar decks could be used/adapted?  Both more readily available and at a more affordable price.

Not very easily at all...the big one was from my Legacy...the other from my Sunstar

I see Legacy attachments fairly often on marketplace and craigslist, and pricing has dropped for the past few years.  THey are great machines to work and mow with.  A snowplow with subrame and rods should run $400-600.  A Blower is perhaps just a bit more.  There is a 2-stage blower near me that the fella can't get rid of for $500.

I cannot recomend the 48" deck to anyone running a legacy.  I also never cared for one under a Sunstar, for the same reason...the runningboards of those machines are so wide that it is difficult to see the deck and 'edge' alongside obstacles in the lawn.  It is also incredibly easy (and frustrating) to miss strips, especially when turning.  I really like the 60" decks.  They cover a lot of ground, are so easy to see and edge with.  The 54" deck is probably the best cutting deck of the group, and has the benefit of better-than-48" visibiity.

I don't know if a Legacy deck is the same but my 2020 deck has hydraulic lift and the height adjustment is via electric switch on the dash. Works well.

I forsure wouldn’t want a 48 inch deck even though that would fit on my small trailer lol. The 54 would be small enough yet big enough for mowing what i would want. I’m not a snowblower fan even though they do a nice job. I prefer the snowplow due to other uses. Had thought 3pt and loader over anything but I’m sure loaders are spendy. Tractor was priced right enough i bought it. Not exactly what i had wanted. Had my eye on gas tractor being currently don’t run a tractor enough to properly warm a diesel up. But price and location along with willingness of seller to work with me on making a couple payments made the choice for me.

Anyone have any ideas what a front end loader for this might cost or where one might be closer to southern Michigan the better. Haven’t decided for certain on buying one or keeping the tractor but i sure coulda used a small loader yesterday!

Kelly , I've bought two of the Kwik Way loaders.

One for $1500 with the sort of squared bucket that I did not like , dirt stuck in the corners, sold it and a Legacy and bought another the same day I bought first one.

Second has rounded bucket and is one I have on my AGCO 2025 , I gave $400 for it complete, I still have this setup. There out there , both of mine came from northern Illinios

As for your questions on the decks , I put a Legacy 60 on the Sunstar I had , only minor modifications to the hitch on mower deck, had to add the DPDT switch to operate the deck height and am sure the same could be done to go the opposite way

Legacy and AGCO are the same tractors just different badging, I've had both

To be honest I’m a lot under impressed with the diesel. I thought the price would make up for it but i find that it’s in my way because sometimes i need to just move it and run it 2 minutes. But with a diesel you gotta warm them up good. I should have just bought a gas tractor honestly. I’m tempted to put the deck back on and list it at a lose on market place. The foot control hydro and power steering is great but the diesel as much of a fan i am of them is just not ment for my use.

Have heard several over the years say their not pleased with the diesel, I've had 2 of the early Legacy's and been pleased with both

I work the crap out of mine and has preformed well, both have had the 25 hp Kohler's, I have forks I built and bucket for my loader

I think I’d be happier with the gas engine myself. Don’t get me wrong I’m a diesel fan but In this case I’m thinking gas would have been better.
